I'm frowning.
We just got home from seeing the Voyage of the Dawn Treader (thank God for good friends who like to give away free movie tickets!) and, of course, it was awesome.
But . . . I was so disappointed in the end. Sigh.
"But between them and the foot of the sky there was something so white on the green grass that even with their eagles' eyes they could hardly look at it. They came on and saw that it was a Lamb." The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, C.S. Lewis
I remember the exact moment I read those words. I remember weeping.
I was ready to weep again, tonight. I had my hoodie up and everything. But, alas, no Lamb. The dialogue of the last scene was fairly similar to the book, which I have opened before me as I type. With the exception of this small, yet weighty section.
So, yeah. Boo to no Lamb!
But my second favorite part, where Aslan says, "But there I am known by another name. You must learn to know me by that name." is included, so that made me frown a smidge less.
